Female Body Impressions

Minna,
I agree with 99% of your work & wisdoms, but sadly disagree with trying to impart "bikini belly & Boy short bottoms" in this day & age.

I felt taken aback by telling me or other women that we should want to reshape our hips and glutes/quads to wear boy shorts...

I need my curves to keep my body producing my female hormones... we all do... to strive for media driven images of fashion fitness when you are looked to as a professional athlete or fitness professioal just bothers me some... maybe it's why i picked the book up for $4.99 at borders... it struck a tough cord with some of female trainers out there who focus on reshaping the female form to be fit - not just "it"

I train ALL WOMEN ONLY - from 13-83 and the thing they want most? To be accepting of thier fitness level adn abilities - to know they worked hard for what they have and maintain.....

i appreciate your work Minna and respect your approaches that are a fusion of functional fitness and traditional moves--- it's refreshing but some of it's regurgitated over & over ...

again, don't mean to be harsh-- I spent 12 years in VB 2 of them fitness in Navy and in other jobs.. love the area and sorry we never crossed paths...

I see your other work being more motivational and approachable by all women than just focusing on being the "skinny boy short wearing model"... so keep the other stuff up!

But I'm not down sister with the whole fitting into a media created image or fashion trend as a goal for my fitness clients... it's about them and their bodies and their goals to be the best they can...

again.. don't take it harsh... the title just bugged me big time! my booty's so big at 12% body fat it won't ever get into body shorts and I trained hard with marines and could kick their butts any day-- and am happy for my curves and don't ever want any other women not proud of what drives our hormonal system as it is...

keep kicking butt minna... just do it for us women like the role model you are! don't cave into the crap the marketers tell you to... follow your heart your head and your health expertise to keep us all motivated...both for trainers like me and for my clients!

my best to you & i'll keep coming back to follow up on you and your successes!

(& I do agree-- Lower those prices! my gosh! they are crazy!)
